Hello, and A Great 4th. to You and Yours!

 Wouldn't
you love to take your Grandchildren and go back
to an earlier time to celebrate the 4th of July?

Do you remember how it was back in the 50's and 60's?

There has never been an innocent time, in the
history of the world, after Adam and Eve ate
the forbidden fruit.

But that era was a less violent time..
.....And I remember.....

We lived in West Texas in a rural area, as I was
growing up.. We lived in a big old two story
house on top of a small hill, and you could see for
miles in any direction..

And on the fourth of July, all of our family
would get together and celebrate.. We had
lots of Cousins, and Uncles, and Aunts, and many
friends, that would come for the day, or if the
4th. was on the week end, they would spend
the night.

My Grandparents, with whom I lived, had farm
land, so all of us kids had lots of places to play...
And hide from each other....A big old barn where
Grandpa kept his hay and such as that to feed his
cattle was our 'best' place, and also caused us the
most trouble.. Our 'tumbling and playing' always
messed his hay stack up, and sometimes
his bales too! ha haa

All of the ladies would pitch in and cook big
dinner's......For desert we always had lots of watermelons
iced down in big old wash tubs filled with ice..
We had a big pond in the pasture
where we would also take watermelons and
put them in the water and play with them...

They float you know....Just simple things like
that was so much fun!

Ummm those were wonderful days, as we
celebrated the freedom of this wonderful country.
Fireworks after the sun went down and night came in...We always had quite a display! We who were kids chased the lightening bugs, as we waited for the fireworks to begin...

And we could see the sky for miles around
lighting up the night with the fireworks that people
were sending upward..

Beautiful and precious memories,  they are to me..

There has always been people, in my family, that
has fought in the wars to keep America free, so
we can have the dinners, and fireworks, and
family visit us.......There still is, and most likely
always will be...

SO

"WE CAN LIVE OFF THIS GREAT LAND"

I'd like to thank YOU, Men and Women who have
gone to war for us, to keep our country free.. I
can still go to a church of my choice, have a Bible
study in my home, go shopping where I choose, buy, rent, or sale, anything I choose, or have the money too, and ALL of the freedoms that I enjoy, is thanks too and because of

YOU!

Waving Flag #1

I remember the precious lives it has cost to keep
this freedom..I will remember You in my prayers..
I thank You with all my heart..

And I do thank God for the warriors we have, and
have had, down through the years who have gone away from their homes and families, so I could be here with mine... Such brave people,
young and old alike.

As the old saying goes,

So I say too,

"My Hats off to YOU"

Father,

I pray for You to keep our warriors protected..
and Please God continue to keep America Free,
and Blessed...

Lord I pray that we here in this most wonderful of
all countries may be a blessing to You!
In Jesus Name I thank You Father!

A Happy, Safe, and Blessed Fourth to

You and Your Family!

Love and Thanks!
