We meet crossings; sometimes
Without any warning.
Crossings ~~~ choices~
Decisions are born in,
A moment in time;
When then we must choose,
And that choice may mean
Whether we win or we loose.
Physical crossing teach
Us to beware.
To cross the street carefully,
With faith and a prayer.

To watch for a train,
Or a car, or a bus,
Or drivers in whom
We must place our trust.
There are times when
Our crossings are misunderstood.
What we planned went all wrong,
Though we meant it for good.
Or a friend that we love
Decides no longer to be,
The friend that I needed
And wanted; so sincerely.

Sometimes I am burdened
And laden with care.
I can't carry this cross
My poor soul has to bear.
Then Jesus' gently speaks to me,
"Come I will give you rest.
My yoke is easy; my burdens light,
I know you've done your best.
Throughout all your life
You will have crossings to bear,
Just know, my child,
I will always be there,

There is no place you can go
That will take you away
From my love, and my place
In your heart, I will stay."
"So lean not unto
your own understanding,
Through faith, be sure
that I have my Hand in
Whatever comes through your life,
your soul is free,
So, my loving child, pick up your cross
~~~and follow Me." ~~~
Matthew 11: 28-31 KJV
Come unto me, all ye that labour
and are heavy laden, and I will
give you rest. Take my yoke
upon you, and learn from me;
for I am meek and lowly in heart:
and ye shall find rest unto your
souls. For my yoke is easy and
my burden is light.
