I stand at a crossroads in life,
Wondering which way to travel,
Knowing if I make a wrong choice,
My existence will begin to unravel.
Do I go forward as I look ahead,
Or turn to take another road,
Which way do I go precious Lord,
What pathway carries the lighter load?
Do I see lights up ahead, brightly shining,
Or is it my imagination running wild,
Can I make the right decision,
Face the surroundings with a smile?
If I move forward will I collide,
With something bigger than I,
Or move swiftly like the wind,
Drawn to an eternal home in the sky.
I pray God will guide me at each crossing,
Show me the way I am to proceed,
If I move in the wrong directions,
I trust in My Father to intercede.
After I travel the long weary journey,
I will stand before the King,
I will bow before the cross bearer,
To my wonderful Lord praises I'll sing.

Mark 8: 34
And when He had called the people
unto him with his disciples also,
He said unto them, Whosoever will
come after me, let him deny himself,
and take up his cross, and follow me.
